Can you read this and give my some feed back?

I know people tell you to "show, not tell" in your writing, but you get quite wordy and over-descriptive in places, and it clutters the writing. Describe what's significant, maybe little details that are interesting, but don't go into things like "elephants on my eyelids," because it starts to sound silly and forced fast.
