Hey Jews, can you help me out here...?

I'm not a Jew (by religion) but christian but I'm very into the jewish writings that are related to the Torah. Today at borders I bought this book called "Everyman's Talmud" written by Abraham Cohen. I'm very into the Torah, so is that book a good purchase for me?
