NCO's in the US Army Infantry?

I am an nco in the infantry, it isnt easy by any means but it is well worth it. if you are dedicated, motivated, and can thrive in the grunt life then you will do fine. it will take you about 2 years to become an nco, sergeant. leadership comes from knowing your job, infantryman. taking care of your soldiers, and setting yourself above your peers. dont be a backstabber cause you will lose respect of your seniors, peers, and subordinates. basically do the right thing when no one is looking and know what your talking about.
