How bad is this??????????????????

ok there was a school embly and there was the presentation of the flag, and so everyone stood up except one girl, so i guessed that meant it was sort of like at a concert where you can choose to sit down if you wanted, and my feet hur so i decided to sit. the principal saw me and sent me to her office. No one ever told me that you had to stand for the presentation of the flag. I thought it was just the pledge of allegiance....does this make me a bad person?
