Explaining cosplay to parents?

Just go shopping with friends and pick out the clothes. Don't let your mother know and ask your dad to take you to the anime convention. Ignore your mom because some people will not know what they are missing! I'm not Japanese where anime/manga is originally from but I'm Korean and none of my parents know I watch anime and buy my own manga. When they see my manga, they always ume it's just comic books my friends gave me. It's better not to tell them. I feared this would happen so it's just me and my friends.
